ITS at the service of investment funds

ITS at the service of investment funds

Targets To enable investment funds which acquire technological or start-up companies at a turning point to maximize their investment potential by supporting the following channels: Diagnosing the potential in technical, technological and operational aspects. Diagnosing and grading the relevant criteria for reliability and maturity of the product for serial production. Assessing product cost data (COGS/BOM), financial parameters and potential for improvement. Maturing the product and cutting TTM while maintaining product reliability and quality. Enabling the start-up company to focus on business development, sales and marketing.

Background

ITS has proved its expertise and experience in accompanying start-up companies like Diptech, kornit Digital, Nur Macroprinters and Scan Master. We enabled the start-up company to focus on its core capabilities. We manage the production planning and control, procurement, warehousing and production. We hired their senior employees, improved engineering and production processes and set up well-structured pricing mechanism. We served as a professional body specializing in engineering and production to maximize the current business potential of companies usually run by development and marketing leaders.

The method

Stage A – assessment and a feasibility study Assessing the maturity of the machine, the technology, the engineering and the logistics.

Stage B – preparing plans for improvement/upgrade In a start-up company – a structured process of NPI (New Product Introduction) In a company undergoing a crisis period – product assembling and testing, a program to mature the product and the supporting systems.

Stage C – stabilizing the machine as a mature product Dealing with engineering problems – blueprints, improving BOM (Bill of Materials), configuration of control, technologies and production processes. Building the production and control infrasructure, establishing production planning and control systems. Preparing for serial production. Pricing the product.

Stage D – serial production and preparation of product and production portfolios.

Stage E – Preparing a cost reduction road map Preparing cost reduction process both in engineering and technology and in streamlining procurement and production.

Stage F – Exit In case production continues in ITS: A continual supply of machines according to the production agreement. In case production does not continue in ITS: Preparing and transferring the production portfolio/kits.

Beam-Supported, Linear Positioning Axes

The Need
Machines that employ linear axes, as in Gantry architecture, rely on precision linear guides to obtain the
required positioning accuracy. The challenge of controlling motion straightness becomes tougher the longer
the travel, the heavier the load and the tighter the accuracy specifications are.
As the length of the guides exceeds the dimensions practically available in a casting or a granite slab, the
use of RHS beam to support the guideway becomes the obvious choice.
